I didn't really know where to put this thread, so please don't smack me in the face if it is in the wrong place.

I'm wondering if there is any use in learning about win32 resources(drop-down menus, icons e.t.c.), or should I just learn C# to make level editors and stuff like that?

Actually, where would be a good place to go for the win32 basics?
The only thing I really know what I'm doing when using win32 at the moment, is setting up a basic window that does nothing. MSDN is good to look up individual functions, but that is a little too much if you don't know all the most basic things about it. I haven't really found anything that takes me beyond window creation in a coherent way.

Thanks in advance! :)
