I want to get my game running on Linux and maybe the Mac one day, but I don't know where to go to get this information. I don't want to use SDL and take the cheap way out and remove a butt load of code that toke me months to learn.

Iv found this compiler here that can help compile on Windows for the Mac/Linux:

http://www.cmake.org/

I was wondering if someone could do a quick investigation and or shed some light on this question.

Thanks, Andrew

I have not done this myself, but I have friends who program for the Linux platform on a Windows machine. They suggest to use: www.cygwin.com

You might also want to look into gcc

Alright I'll give that a try instead of converting to GTK for Linux. Which wold be more work.

Fmod I think should work fine still with Linux. I believe I just have to change the headers/libs.

That looks like a neat 'tool'! I think I have played around with gcc when I had that Dev C++ compiler back then when I first started to play with C++. So my skills with gcc are rusty.

Im installing the Ubuntu with Virtual PC, so I hope when I convert my game it runs fine still. Im just about done with 1.3 version of my game. So it would be great if I can release the update as the same time release Linux version.

Aw, thats sad. I can't run Fmod with Dev C++.

How the heck do you install gcc? I swear I installed it once with a installer. Now I can't find it...
