 Post subject: OpenGL install libraries?

http://www.opengl.org/registry/ offers the OpenGL
i checked that link over and over
but can't find a snigle .lib file ..
where to get the OpenGL libraries ?

That's one of the nice things about OpenGL. If you are using a recent Microsoft compiler you probably already have all the files that you need installed on your computer!

For instance when you install the Windows SDK you'll be able to find the OpenGL header files and library files. On my computer they are located under:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\VC\PlatformSDK\Include\gl
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\VC\PlatformSDK\Lib

that's the only way to get any of OpenGl's recent versions ?

To use new functionality, just download the newest drivers for your video card. OpenGL works directly with the hardware so there isn't much else you have to do. You may want to use something like Glee http://www.opengl.org/sdk/libs/GLee/ to get access to the new functionality via extension, but you could also just write that code directly.
