I have a question regarding the Node Graph visualization. I would like to know if there is a library that can be used to visualize the scene graph nodes. For instance, Unreal's material editor has a node network that allows users to connect loaded textures to a material node and results will be displayed instantly in real time (please see the attachment for sample screenshot).

I basically need a simple library that is writen in C++ and allows user to customize its GUI. I found a library called Graphviz but I found it a bit complicated to understand and implement.

The reason I need this is because I am developing a tool to showcase in my portfolio where users have the option to load different textures and preview it in real time.I am also using your VMK_GUI codes for GUI.

That's a good question, unfortunately I don't have a good answer for it.

When I was first designing the GUIManager I was hoping that there would be a visual interface to allow the programmer to drag and drop properties on the nodes and see instant feedback. I wanted to model it after Simulink however after writing the code for ISS I quickly realized how big the task is to create a fully graphical environment, so I decided to cut this part out of the Game Engine.

I'm curious to see if anyone knows of any good OpenSource visual graph editors.

I haven't had a chance to check out the links in all of these websites, The first one may be a bit outdated, but there seems to be a good amount of libraries here.
This site has open source software. These could be usefull apps to use.
This site looks like it has a good amount of visual graphics. This site might be what you are looking for home3d2001

You may find what you are looking for. Hope this helps
