Visual C++ is set up in this VMK so that we can work with the OpenAL SDK. I explain the general concepts used in the OpenAL API framework and by the end of the video, we are able to do simple audio play back from a file.

I figured out how to add alut.dll as a resource in my project, and figured out how to use a post build event to place a copy of it anywhere within the solution's output directory I want. I'd rather have any library (.lib or .dll) placed in "$(OutDir)\Resources\Libraries\" instead of the just "$(OutDir)". How can I get the .exe to look for alut.dll there?

When loading DLL's Windows will look for DLL's in the following paths

* The current directory that the executable is running from
* The Windows system directories
* Any paths specified in the PATH environmental variable

Have a read through the help on LoadLibrary for more details

You can tell windows to look else where by calling SetDllDirectory
