Hi Marek,

I was checking out some of the 3D packages out there and was wondering if COLLADA files would be appropriate.

Why? From what I've read, COLLADA files support both #D and physics data. Since you've completed both game and physics engines, I thought this file format might be a good fit to your VMK's.

A lot of people like Collada because it is a general 3D file format that is supported by a lot of applications.

I've never used it myself so I can't say much about it.

I have already integrated another general 3D file format into the game engine (FBX from Autodesk)

When I get some time, I will make a VMK showing how to load FBX files.

Many tools use FBX, so it's a good choice (actually a very good one) :D

But what's this Collada?
